Guidelines for oily skinc care

Unfortunately, some people are born with and have to care for oily skin. There are however, other contributors to it as well including diet, hormone levels, pregnancy, cosmetics and humidity that are somewhat controllable.  So if you are prone to this, there are a number of ways that proper oily skin care can reduce blemishes, blackheads and that shiny look.

Proper oily skin care is essential to help limit the number and severity of outbreaks.  First, only wash your face two to three times a day.  If you wash too much, it will stimulate more oil production which is exactly what you don’t want.  Use hot water and a quality cleansing product.  If you are using something that makes you feel taut or dehydrated, consider changing as this may cause blockages which leads to breakouts.

Your diet can also play a significant role in your oily skin care regiment.  You want to have a protein rich but at the same time reduced in sugars and salt.  If you are iron deficient, consider taking vitamins or iron supplements to boost it.  Also, eat plenty of leafy green vegetables and of course fresh fruits.  Drink plenty of water and try and limit the amount of pop you drink.
